The National University of Science and Technology Library was established in 1992. A small room made available by the Bulawayo Public Library was home to an opening collection of 2 000 volumes consisting primarily of donations and a complement of two members of staff, an Assistant Librarian and a Library Assistant. The Library then moved to 114 Fort Street, in the city center, in April 1993. Over the years, the number of members of staff at the Library has grown to the current total of almost 40. The Library is still temporarily housed in the city center, until the construction of a new state-of-the-art Library at the University Campus is completed.
